Miss Rodeo Minnesota 2023
Kendra Klosterman
Kendra Klosterman, Miss Rodeo Minnesota 2023, was raised on a multi-generational farm just outside of Breckenridge, MN. Growing up, Kendra was an active 4-H and FFA member, showing horses and cattle at the Minnesota State Fair, as well as competing in FFA career development events for the ag sales and horse judging contests. She has always had a passion for rodeo and the variety of people it attracts to the agriculture and western industries. In May of 2020, Kendra graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics, and minors in Agriculture Communications and Crop and Weed Sciences. From there, she went on to further her education by obtaining her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), with certificates in Digital Marketing & Innovation and Leadership & Managerial Skills. She plans on using these degrees in a way that brings together her love of agriculture, the western way of life, communications, and the business world. Kendra has a passion for enlightening the public on agriculture and our western heritage, and believes everyone should have an understanding of our industry, its history, and what it takes to put food on our tables. Her platform is to “Engage, Enlighten, and Encourage” urging people to be present in the moment, engage with the people around them, have meaningful conversations, and inspire others to do the same! She is proud to represent the western way of life and the great state of Minnesota.
Miss Teen Rodeo Minnesota 2023
Summer Joy Hill
Summer Joy Hill, Miss Teen Rodeo Minnesota 2022-23, is blessed to have the opportunity to represent Minnesota is excited to not only represent her home state, but also the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), the Miss Rodeo Minnesota Association (MRMNA), and the many sponsors that help support the MRMNA scholarship program.
Now, her life has always been centered around Jesus and horses, which being on the back of a horse has always been more than a hobby, but a lifestyle as life in the saddle began before she could walk. After she was born, her mom would take her for rides and the hoof beats would lull her to sleep. Even at two years of age, she was riding her own horse and being ponied behind her mom on trail rides. A few years down the road, she moved on to competing at local horse shows, gaming, and attending barrel racing events. Fast forward to now, she continues to train her four-year-old Morgan mare with the goal after college to open an equine youth therapy ministry center in her community with her mom. There she will recuse abused and/or neglected horses, rehabilitate, and then bring children in with similar stories to work with them.
Summer looks forward to another year to experience the unique opportunities to travel, meet incredible people who love rodeo, and promote the sport as Miss Teen Rodeo Minnesota.
